Just a reminder: the MIGANG F# SIG is moving to the second Tuesday of the month at 7 pm. If you've been wanting to check out F# but didn't want to have to choose between MIGANG and F#, this is your chance to learn more about F# and Functional Programming.
Thanks to the kind folks at Epitec Group, we're meeting at their office in Southfield. Kudos to Matt Ruma and Epitec for their support of the local software engineering community. There will be food and drinks so don't worry about getting dinner before you get to the meeting.
At the November meeting, we'll be discussing two topics:
Why Learn Functional and F#
A Short Introduction To List Comprehensions in F#
Please bring a laptop if you've got one. We can help you get F# going on your laptop if you don't already have it installed. We're going to try some hands-on coding with F# as part of the meeting.
Right now for our December meeting we're tentatively hoping to have Chris Marinos, Microsoft F# MVP, talking to us about Type Providers in F# 3.0.
